Cub Cadet 1650 Specs, Hydrostatic Transmission, Engine, and Review

The 169 was replaced by the 16-hp hydrostatic International Cub Cadet 1650. It had a newly created cab with a more compact front end and a lower profile. For better ground clearance, the exhaust pipes were rerouted under the hood of the engine compartment rather than out the sides. The average noise level was reduced by 5 dB thanks to a new cab enclosure design.

Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems, fuel injection systems, and other changes were made by International Harvester in 1974 to upgrade many of their products to meet new EPA emission standards. The Kohler engine in the Cub Cadet 1650 has a full-pressure lubrication system, which increases its reliability over its predecessors. Compared to earlier models, it had a different deck design.
